Medical billing/ Receptionist

Job description
We are Physical Therapy and Acupuncture looking for an efficient front desk receptionist/medical billing clerk to Join our team as a new clinic.

Essential Functions:

Patient Relations: Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries.
Administrative Duties: Oversee office administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and managing office supplies. Implement and maintain efficient office systems, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to coordinate schedules, manage patient flow, and ensure optimal teamwork.
Cross-Training: Since this is a new office, Front desk staff is expected to be able to work as an assistant as well.
Billing insurance coordination: Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries. Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections. Accurately and efficiently processes requests for denied claims information using website portals and outbound phone calls for all Commercial, Medicare / Medicaid insurance payers. Processes appeals of insurance denials and follow-up until the appeal is resolved. Researches and responds to documentation requests from insurance carriers in a timely manner. Runs account receivable reports monthly and follow up on all outstanding claims greater than 60 days.
Skills:
- Experience in medical office administration preferred
- Proficient in using Mdland, or similar medical scheduling and billing software
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus

Job Requirement:
- High school degree required

- Two years of medical office and billing experience preferred.

Language requirement

- Mandarin / Cantonese

- English

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18 - $23 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week

Benefits:


Schedule: 20-40hrs / wk

Day shift
7 days, will prefer Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for sure
